The JUFWO (Justice For Widows and Orphans) Initiative is a pro-bono legal service within Z. K. Yego Law Offices established and championed by Mr. Zephaniah Yego Advocate. The initiative is anchored on Article 48 and 50 of the Constitution which guarantees every citizen the right to fair hearing and legal representation. Through the initiative, our firm in conjunction with the Law Society of Kenya, the Judiciary and other stakeholders in the justice sector offers free legal services to the needy and vulnerable members of our society, with a keen interest on widows and orphans overwhelmed by the high cost of these services.
The JUFWO Initiative focuses on championing for justice and defending the rights of the needy in both civil and criminal matters at no cost. Being founded on Constitutional thresholds and the principles of natural justice, our firm commits to zealously and efficiently defend the rights of the less privileged in society so that indeeed justice becomes our shield and defender.

L.L.B. Hons (Moi), Dip Law (KSL), CPM (MTI). Mr. Zephania Yego was admitted to the Roll of Advocates on 15th December 2005. He has a vast experience in litigation of election petitions, complex constitutional matters, administration law and judicial review, employment and labour relations, land matters, commercial law and insurance matters. He worked as an associate in the firm of Kibichiy & Co. Advocates, Eldoret between December 2005 and December 2008. Mr. Yego graduated from Moi University Law School in 2003 with Second Class Honours, Upper Division. At the university he actively participated in moot court contests and represented Moi University in the 2nd African Moot Court Competition on International Humanitarian Law in Arusha in November 2002. He is also a trained mediator and has facilitated numerous mediation proceedings. In 2008, he was nominated for the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Programme and the International Lawyers for Africa Programme. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), East African Law Society (EALS) and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA).He is the immediate former Chairman of the Law Society of Kenya, North Rift Branch a position he held between 2015-November 2019. He is an expert in election petitions, constitutional law, employment and Land Law as well as a trained Mediator. He is particularly experienced in electoral disputes and has represented IEBC in over 40 elections petitions since the year 2013 all of which he successfully defended. Mr. Yego is also a trained legislative drafter who has formulated and drafted Bills for some County Governments and County Assemblies.
